GOALS

The aim of this program is to brush up on existing skills that participants have in relation to river safety and rescue.  Throughout the day(s) our instructors will also introduce new skills and concepts and you will be put through a bunch of different scenarios to help refine skills, teamwork and more.

OUTCOMES

After completing this course participants can expect to have a good understanding of boat and shore based rescues, a solid understanding of how their own personal equipment works (strengths and weaknesses).  A large area of focus is also communication and group safety on the river during rescues.  Learning points will be highlighted with regular discussions and de-briefings on scenarios/activities.
